True integration is the ability to seamlessly interface systems from different security disciplines to create a total solution that is greater than the sum of its parts. This high level seminar explores the flexibility of IP-networked security and takes an in-depth look at the issues involved in designing and connecting together such technology. Presented by experts the session will identify the critical issues when designing and integrating complex solutions.
The 2 hour session will cover the following areas:
- Designing an integrated truly converged solutions
- Architecture and deployment considerations
- Identifying and delivering operating benefits
- Selecting both hardware and application software
- Integrating technologies such as IP based Access Control
- Delivering critical mission building management solutions
- Future trends and developments

Description

Protecting your investment over time is vital. Whilst you need a safe, secure, comfortable and energy efficient facility, it must also be flexible enough to cope with changing business requirements that may be difficult to predict. By centralising the control of core systems and enabling an enterprise-wide view, automated processes can access key information in real time and apply pre-determined actions to a multitude of building applications. This is the key to effective, flexible and profitable building management.
This presentation will address the key benefits and challenges of convergence, whilst applying the principles to a real life case study: Wembley Stadium; an Integrated Stadium System that manages all major Building Services on a single, resilient unified Network.
- The benefits and challenges of convergence
- Competitive advantages gained by considering technology as a key element of FM strategy
- An insight into the building integration in Wembley Stadium

Description

True integration is the ability to seamlessly interface systems from different security disciplines to create a total solution that is greater than the sum of its parts. Whilst the flexibility of IP-networked security is well documented and widely accepted as providing significant benefits compared to wired systems, the benefits of integrating systems over an IP-network are less understood yet even more significant e.g. allowing operations to be triggered in one system from events generated in another. The presentation will discuss how systems such as CCTV and access control can be integrated together over IP-networks and the powerful features they offer.
- Benefits of integrating systems over an IP-network
- What are the interfaces between the systems
- Alarm operations and reporting
- Hardware and software required for successful integration

Today’s surveillance and physical security systems have to handle more and more information, cameras, and threats. Therefore, the use of intelligent IP networked surveillance solutions, providing automation, intelligence and flexibility as well as the integration with other IP networked security systems is increasingly important.
- The impact of risk mitigation on surveillance requirements
- The IP network as an enabler for integrated physical security
- How to use intelligent technologies to increase efficiency
- Benefits of surveillance automation

Description

IP solutions for Access Control have been available for nearly 8 years, but are only now starting to gain popularity. The reasons for the slow growth are numerous but the single biggest problem is that IP solutions are frequently viewed as a way of providing the existing security application but using a different communication medium - a standards based method of connectivity.
The next generation of devices are migrating the application from the centre to the edge, and are beginning to unlock the true capability of an IP network. This will involve a paradigm shift in how IP based security devices operate, and how the user interfaces to them. Only when these devices are deployed will the remaining road blocks to IP security be removed.
- Market development of IP access control
- Factors effecting growth of IP based devices
- Knowledge of next generation of IP devices
- User implications/benefits of IP security
